
LEVINIA BOON'S WILL:Written January 25, 1852In the name of God amen, I Levinia Boon of the County of Northampton State of North Carolina, being at this time weak of body, but of sound mind and memory, thanks be to Almighty God, and as to the earthly goos the Lord has blessed me with, I give and dispose of in the following manner. --- Vis. Item 1 - It is my wish and desire that all of my just debts and funeral expenses shall be paid. Item 2 - It is my desire that all of my estate both real and personal should be sold by my executors, and after paying my just debts and funeral expenses, the surplus remaining in his handz should be equally divided between my sonz William Boon, Jesse Boon, and Willie Boon and my daughter Ann Edwards equally to them and their heirz for ever. Item 3 - I nominate and appoint my son Willie Boon my sole Executor, to this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all wills heretofore by me made. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 25th day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty two. Levinia Boon (her mark) signed in the presence of us witnesses, Edmund Jacobs, Wm. M. Gums Northampton County December Court 185(7). This paper writing purporting to be the last will and testament of Levinia Boon is exhibited in open court and is proven by the oath and --------- of Edmund Jacobs, who also identified the handwriting of W.M.Gums, the other -------- witness, who is dead, and is admitted to probate and thereupon Solomon G. Boon came into open court and qualified as administrator with the will amended, and is ------ the said will be filed and recorded. (** Note: it would appear the Willie died before 12/1857, as he does not become executor. Also, in the 1860 census, his wife and children are living in the household of Lemuel __________.
