
DEBORAH BOON'S WILL:Written December 13, 1825I Deborah Boon of the County of Northampton and State of North Carolina do make this my last will and testament in manner and form following, to Wit. First I give unto my grandson Nicholas Boon Smith all the land where I now live also one Negro girl named Edy also a Boy by the name of Randal. My daughter Lida Smith has the use of the land and Edy until Boon Smith is twenty one years of age to him and his heirs forever. Second I give unto my grandson Samuel Matthew Welch Fletcher Smith one Negro girl by the name of Renny also one cow heffer also one mare to him and his heirs forever. Thirdly I give unto my grandaughter Deborah Eloisabeth Smith one Negro woman named Agg also one Negro child named Divy also one press also one cow also one warnet table also one chair to her and her heirs forever. Fourthly I give unto my daughter Susannah Lassiter the wife of Britten Lassiter one Negro woman named Winney also one Negro girl named Martha also one Bed Provided the said Briten Lassiter will pay my son (** grandson penciled in, smaller) Nicholas Nixon Gums one hundred and fifty dollars to her and her heirs forever. Fifthly It is my will and desire that all my propity no willed away After paying my just debts be Equally devided Betwent my two daughters Lida Smith and Susanna Lassiter to them and their heirs forever. Sixthly I do nominate Willie Futrell and Britten Lassiter my two Executors of this my last will and testament with full confidenc tha they will Carrey the Same into full Execution and I do hereby acknowledg this Above to be my Last will and Testament in witness whereof I have hereunto Set my hand and affixed my seal this thirteth day of December 1825. This last Will and Testament of Deborah Boon desd. was exhibited in open Court and proved in due form of law by the oaths of John Pledger and Salley Love two of the subscribing witnesses thereto:

was qualified as the law directs, Ordered to be certified and
