WILLIAM BOON'S WILL:

In the name of God Amen I William Boon of the County of northampton and the State of north carolina being weak in body tho of sound mind and memory thanks be to god for the blessing and calling to mind the mortallaty of the body and knowing it is appointed for all men once to die do make and ordain this as my last will and testament in manner and form following, Viz. after all my just debts and funeral Expenses are paid then --

I give and bequeath to my son James Boon all my lands and one Negro Boy by the name of Peter and one horse called hidsalla my riding saddle and bridle one bed and furniture and my best Narrow ax and twenty pounds in money for him and his heirs and assigns forever.

I give and bequeath to my daughter Sally Boon one flax wheel one Cloak one feather bed and furniture to her and her heirs and assigns forever.

My will and desire is that my mother shall have a Comfortable Support out of my Estate during her life and the use of a cow and calf while she continues at my place.

I leave my Negro woman Fillis to be hired out untill my youngest daughter comes of age or marries after which for her and her increase to be Equally Divided between my two daughters also it is my will that all the remainder of my Estate of Every kind and quality soever be sold and Equally Divided between my two daughters to them and their heirs and assigns forever.

I do authorise and appoint my Friends Arthur Williams William Williams Arthur Sharrod and Benjamin Sharrod to be my Lawful Executors to this my last will and testament Revoking all others heretofore by me made and acknowledging this and no other to be my last will and testament in Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this Sixth day of October one thousand seven hundred and ninety seven. Interlined before signed.
