Our history in America has been defined by interaction between the people and their environment. In developing my genealogy, it has been important for me to understand the geographic, political, and social environment in which each group lived, and to draw clues from these factors -- to know where to look for the NEXT data! I've tried to separate these into easy-to-digest "nuggets" of information, but the reality is that they often overlap, with circumstances events in one colony affected by events of the others. Search your priority-area first, but take time to read through the others, and I will be suprised if you don't find something in them that is important to your search!
