| We begin with our "oldest" direct ancestor, as of June 1999 . . . You can also review the Generally Accepted Theory of the earlier Ancestors, as well as problems with that theory. THOMAS BOON: B: ca. 1725, Bertie Co., North Carolina ( now Northampton County); D: 01/1800, Northampton Co.; M: ca. 1748 to ALICE WINBORNE B: unk ; D: 17591763 ; M: (2ndly) ca. 1763 to ZILTHIA B: unk ; D: must have died prior to 1796, as she is not in Thomas' Will.
- WILLIAM BOON: B: abt. 1749 ; D: May 1775; M: ca. 1773; ANNA WINBORNE: B: abt 1753 D: aft.1795, dau. of ; William has died before his father, THOMAS, makes out his will in 1796, but at that time, all of William's children are under age. Some of their names are listed in WILLIAM's will of 1794. All are listed in court records in June 1795. He also designates his father, THOMAS, and James Winborne, Sr. as Executors.

We do know that Deborah has a son, named Elijah Gumbs at birth, before 1797, and that Nicholas Boon is required by the court in, Sept. 1797, to provide "10 pounds 3 shillings 9 pence" for 2-years maintenance of a bastard child.
