LAURA MARTHA EDWARDS: B:08/26/1896, Roxboro, N.C., dau.of William James and Margaret Ellen Bradshaw Edwards; Benjamin was ordained as a Methodist minister in 1916 and retired about 1956. They had no children. In 1993, 97 year-old Laura lived in the Methodists' Home in Durham,N.C., near her 103 year-old sister-in-law, Fannie Boone Hall. 776-8. N.C. ; D: 10/18/1950, Durham, N.C., son of Evans L. and Emma R. Hall ; Fannie was educated in the Jackson schools, and at Louisburg College. They lived in Durham since 1922. 776-9. MAMIE THOMAS SPIVEY: B: 01/17/1895,Northampton Co.; D: 09/26/1986,Jackson,N.C. , dau. of Thomas and Belle Wood Spivey; Dock, as he was always known, is listed in the 1900 census as "Lazerus V." and in the 1910 census as "Virgil". No one knows where the name "Dock" originated. He owned and operated a grocery store and farm service businesses, continued to this day by his children and grandchildren.
