REBEKAH JANE COPELAND: B: 08/12/1856 ; D: 12/06/1949 ; dau. of Edmond P. and Sarah Copeland. The COPELAND family was one of the many Quaker families living near the Rich Square meeting house. HARRIET ANNE PILAND: B: 01/06/1880, Gates Co., N.C. ; D: 02/04/1974, Suffolk, Va. ; dau. of George W. and Harriet Lawrence Piland ; Porter and Harriet farmed in Northampron County until the early 1920's, when they moved to a small farm in Nansemond County, next to the present Bethlehem Christian Church. 776-2. CLARA VAUGHAN: B: --/--/1890 ; D: > 1952 ; dau. of Zachariah and Mary Vaughan Vaughan ; 776-3. JAMES JOSHUA BOONE: B: 10/01/1881, Northampton Co. ; D: 06/05/1967, Watts Hospital, after a long illness, age 85 ; M: 12/02/1907 CORA FRANCES AVENT: B: 12/19/1886, Wake Co., N.C. ;D: 10/2/1966, Smithfield, N.C.,(funeral preached by Rev. Sidney G. Boone of Durham), dau. of Fred H. and Ida Jones Avent ; "Uncle Josh" was ordained a Methodist minister in 1907 and retired in 1954. 776-4. JEREMIAH M. BOONE: B: 06/28/1883 ; D: 10/13/1958 ; M: 12/23/1908 in the residence of B.F. Davis in Seaboard, N.C. CORA RUTH DAVIS: B: 08/02/1886 ; D: 10/13/1958 ; dau. of B.F. and Ann ----- Davis ; They died together, in an automobile accident. 776-5. WILLIAM ANDREW BOONE: B: 04/30/1885 at Jackson, N.C. ; D: 10/19/1965 at Roanoke Rapids, N.C. ; M: 12/28/1910 RUTH EUNICE DRAPER: B: 09/23/1890 ; D: 07/30/1972 ; dau. of W.W. and Pattie J. Draper ; both are buried in Jackson Cemetery. 776-6. CATHERINE DORA BOONE: B: 02/25/1887, Jackson, N.C. ; D: 12/01/1976 in Va.Beach, Va.; M: 10/22/1912 VOIGHT LENWOOD JONES: B: 05/14/1890 ; D: 12/11/1955, son of John M. and Lydia Anne Bonney Jones. Voight was a merchant and a farmer. Catherine was a school teacher and a housewife. 776-7. BENJAMIN FRANKLIN BOONE: B: 03/02/1889, at the homeplace, near Jackson in Northampton Co. ; D: 03/05/1959, Fairmont, N.C. ; M:11/30/1916 by his brother James Joshua Boone, in Roxboro,N.C. LAURA MARTHA EDWARDS: B:08/26/1896, Roxboro, N.C., dau.of William James and Margaret Ellen Bradshaw Edwards; Benjamin was ordained as a Methodist minister in 1916 and retired about 1956. They had no children. In 1993, 97 year-old Laura lived in the Methodists' Home in Durham,N.C., near her 103 year-old sister-in-law, Fannie Boone Hall. 776-8. FANNIE JANE BOONE: B: 08/25/1890, Jackson,N.C.; D:04/14/1995, age 104, at the Methodists' Home in Durham,N.C., and is buried in Maplewood Cemetery; M: 04/12/1922 by her brother Benjamin Boone and Ben Rogers CHARLES GRAHAM HALL: B: 04/12/1888 Orange Co. N.C. ; D: 10/18/1950, Durham, N.C., son of Evans L. and Emma R. Hall ; Fannie was educated in the Jackson schools, and at Louisburg College. They lived in Durham since 1922.
776-9. LAZERUS VIRGIL (DOCK) BOONE: B: 11/07/1892, Jackson,N.C.; D: 08/30/1978,Leigh Memorial Hospital,Norfolk,Va. M: 02/16/1918, Jackson,N.C. MAMIE THOMAS SPIVEY: B: 01/17/1895,Northampton Co.; D: 09/26/1986,Jackson,N.C. , dau. of Thomas and Belle Wood Spivey; Dock, as he was always known, is listed in the 1900 census as "Lazerus V." and in the 1910 census as "Virgil". No one knows where the name "Dock" originated. He owned and operated a grocery store and farm service businesses, continued to this day by his children and grandchildren. 776-A. JOHN EDMOND BOONE: B: 02/21/1896,Jackson,N.C.; D: 03/25/1976,at home,Jackson,N.C.; M: 06/02/1923 in Potecasi, N.C. ESTELLE JOYNER BEALE: B: 06/02/1899 ; D: 12/18/1987, at Emily's home in Morehead City, N.C.; dau. of J.R. and Margaret Beale of Potecasi, N.C.
